ZYatWork Forks are quality German engineered, manufactured under ISO 9001-2000 standards in ZYatWork's
production plant in China. Our forks are 100% forged from round bar 40Cr alloy steel. They
are compliant to ISO 2328 & ISO 2330 & ANSI B56 11.4 standards.
Why forge a fork blank from rounds when it is much cheaper to just bend flat bars like anyone else? Because the strong, tough alloy steel we exclusively use to make our forks comes in round bar.
The fork made this way is stronger with superior grain and fewer flaws than mill-standard flat bar. And, we forge a heel “hump” into the blank, giving a thicker section at that critical area. Flat bar forks are not fully forged. After
all, they are fork-shaped as flat bars already. They are promoted as “forged”
because they are induction heated and shaped, but just at the bend, with no “hump.” Our forged heel section is 38% thicker than the fork thickness dimension.
